Hoin Ji (b.1992) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Seoul and Karlsruhe. Ji’s work deals with intersections between music genres and art movements, internet phenomena and historical contexts, and expressions of liberation and community, addressing the ironies in neoliberal economics within the fine arts. Ji’s multidirectional approach comes from diverse backgrounds in painting, computer music, fashion print, merch design, and publication.

Ji has held a solo exhibition abstractly (2023, Seoul), participated in group exhibitions, Sonic Spatiology (2024, Karlsruhe), Gwangju Media Art Festival (2023, Gwangju), festivals Bowed Electrons (2024, Cape Town), next_generation X (2024, Karlsruhe), WeSA Festival (2021, Seoul).

Ji creates and releases music under the name yotih, and occasionally performs as a member of the audiovisual collective JinakyeongKimhoin.

Ji has a decade of experience in fashion print design, creating graphics for brands whose collections were presented at Seoul Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week. Ji also spent several years designing graphics for uniforms and merchandise for an e-sports club.
